Really why do we play Pomp and Circumstance at graduation I mean I realize it’s an ultimately pointless and hollow ceremony, which warrants the name, but why not the Avengers theme or something like that like “Fuck yeah you made it out of this crappy place you’re awesome” instead of “Symbolic of the Boredom You Endured To Make It Here”

Still, the part where they expect the students to sing the school’s fight song should be fun. Since nobody even knew there was a school fight song until this afternoon and the administrators think the entire student body has memorized it.

Naturally. Otherwise it could have been less pointless than it already is. I bet I’ll trip on the gown while rushing down the stairs to get out of view of the bazillion people in the audience, too. Should be exciting.

Today I will graduate with a class of people who I met a year ago. A class of people who I can only describe in vague terms, as I know only about three people well enough to consider them casual acquaintances. A class of people who believe themselves to be the greatest people to walk on the face of the earth, but embrace their complete lack of intelligence with a zeal that I have not seen in all my years, excluding in math classes. Today I shall be exiting my high school career among a mass of over 500 overzealous, moronic strangers of whom I would recognize less people than I would recognize in a single class period at my old school. I shall make my exit from that auditorium, never look back, and be immediately forgotten by all who looked upon me during my tenure in this miserable place.

And today I can honestly say
